thanksgiving weekend 2008

Look who's here!!

oh boy, oh boy!!
Aaron Joseph has arrived.
He made his appearance Nov 14, 2008 at 1:45 pm.
I know, I was there!!!! and I looked at the clock when he popped out.
and then I took a whole bunch of pictures. fun fun fun.

Here he is modeling his birthday suit. He's just minutes old.

Here is the proud dad, holding his little football.

The first family portrait.

Jake gets to hold him at home. He's looking forward to showing Little Joe all kinds of cool stuff....like fishing, sunrises, and how to make cinnamon apples?

this basket has been in the Hobart family (my dad's side) since his sister slept in it as a baby. That makes it about 80 years old. I slept in it, so did my brothers and sister, and their kids. Now, that is good stewardship!

6 hours of an all-girl Saturday afternoon

beautiful fall colors right at home

this was taken from the garage during late afternoon sun.
so easy on the eyes!

and along with fall season is TEXAS TECH football!
This has been a VERY good year for the Red Raiders, and there's more to come!

it's been a lot of years since I did a mosaic...about 30!
this was a fun project for my granddaughters. I had to hurry up and finish it before they outgrew it. Allisen kept asking "are those broken plates? why did you break the plates?"

a very fun weekend with 5 girls

Allisen and Loren learn the finer points of "mudding" from Kiersten. Kiersten learned these techniques at summer camp this year.

stay tuned for more fun activities filling up 6 hours yesterday afternoon.

Linus has graduated.

I finally got to ride Linus yesterday, after a quick turn-around trip to Caldwell. Holly met me there and we took Linus to her house afterwards. Linus will get some good riding time with Chelsea in the next month. Linus is Buff, with a few bare patches on his runp where his fellow paddock-mate (a mare) chewed on him. Linus is showing his back-up skills. I finally get on, after Linus is all pooped out. Finally, a drink at Holly's house. Linus was glad to be there. Picking Jake up from school is always fun. The dogs get to go.

Glen is showing off.
