Treasure hunt part 2..more pie eating and water ballons

Garrett was especially hungry! He forgot his lunch. Ah-h-h-h-h-h-h-h. tha's better. A two boy challenge. now for the girls. it's a good thing Tracye helped to keep the girls lubricated with water! Laura Cate does her best! Mallory eats the whole thing. posing with their warrior icing on. the ravages of war. the two champs Caroline was the grand champ. and a neat-eater, too, comparatively speaking. now for the water balloon wars. boys, get ready to take 7 paces, then turn, and..... Fire!!! Okay, now for the girls. 7 paces, turn and fire!! now lets pit the girls against the boys. who do you think won this battle? Are you sure there are no more balloons?? is it really time to leave? Those two hours sure did go by in a hurry.

tailgate time at A&M

this is Mike, the tailgate chef, and Joddie, the middleman....
Jake decorates cookies for the birthday celebration....
It's been 7 years since we last celebrated Suzanne and Holly's birthdays after a game.
Suzanne, Danielle (a recent Ike survivor from Galveston), Holly and Joddie. Joddie says, put the camera down and eat while this fajita meat is hot!
the Red raider is hung in effigy.

Tim's got to leave, just have time for one more guns up picture with mom.

A beautiful Sunday sunrise the next morning in Brenham.

Jake gets his hair spiked while giving me the guns up.

re-wrapping Wizzie's leg with 66 stitches.
and then, there's our little grandson, marching to the Aggie war hymn, music supplied by me.

change of game plans

What do you do when little girls get sick and the game plan changes?

you carve pumkins....
and you make horses to ride..........
and you look at the praying mantis on the porch, which is looking back at you...
you ride those horses........
and practice getting your guns up while watching the game on TV............
or you are prepared for the worst...........................
While sisters play with their bears......

We met one of Holly's friends on the plane and some of Tim's friends on campus.

Both guys said to tell Tim, "Hi".

and Ryan Vardeman at Love Field...I just about squeezed his guts out with this hug.

I'll share the opening horse and football player part of the game on video for those who have never seen it, or those who have and miss seeing it.

it was fun going to a volleyball game, although the Aggies beat us soundly.
