What a great day for a cookie party! No rain, 28 degrees all day, lots of hot chocolate and wonderful friends who took time to come and decorate cookies, catch up with each other, take pictures as their kids sat on the very fluffy and old Pebbles, sign the tablecloth, chase the deer, count the babies Jesus on the tree, and go on a "kitty hunt"...but, wait, there's more! too much to put here.
The final count was 33 kids and 16 adults...add me and we had an even 50 folks, from 8 months old to ???? here. That added up to lots of hugs and laughs and catching up!
Here is a before picture:

Pay no attention to the fact that Russell has his jeans rolled up like a nerd... I still claim him. :-)
We had a BLAST! The kids have been looking forward to it for the past few weeks! Thanks so much for opening your house and letting us make a mess and then leave it for you to clean up... :-)
Merry Christmas!
Jaime, I didn't even notice Russells' pants....
and truly, the mess cleaning just gives me a bit more time to bask in the glow of a beautiful, joyful day.
It's like grandkids' handprints on the doors and walls. you almost hate to wipe them off.
Merry Christmas to all you singers!
